Hollyhock Snow Bud Solace Digital Photography

In consideration of simplicity and organization,

this site is featuring a picture a day along with the stories behind them. Follow me into the woods. There’s a den of foxes on the way, but don’t worry, we have not been skunked like they have! It is virtual and painless to subscribe and enjoy updates from a nature-lovin old hippie who will do everyone a favor by pointing out foxholes and pitfalls along with secret formulas for art. But you’ve got to subscribe, and luckily, it’s easy to follow me by using the subscribe forms on the sidelines.

The kid that feels dreary and overcast with blue/grey Minnesota chill. It’s time like this I’ll reference the many pictures that remain untouched; the photos of more vibrant days of Autumn. Yes, I cropped, resized, bumped up vibrancy and contrast, poured a digital hot wax all over it and accentuated the center with a crystal ball. Juxtaposed alongside a winter gray light as I work, it is quite brilliant. Like me, they say (now I get why some people cover their eyes when they see me coming). Give your eyes a few moments to focus. This audacious piece contains interesting detail and complexity. Here’s the question. This file type requires a 24 million bit depth. Exactly the value of a picture like this. Shall I continue or shall I reduce the details to a lesser quality to accommodate galleries that do not allow photos as large as or larger than life? This is a yes, proceed. This is why Saatchiart is my first choice of galleries to display my art in. Saatchart allows 50 mb, many others are limited to 25 mb. I’ve saved all my works in at minimum 24 million bit (usually greater) depth; deeper are the layers than this lake I suppose. If you require larger than 50 mb, I can arrange this environment to suit your environment. Your delightfully difficult decision will be between lush #linen stretched #canvas, or archival velour petal-feel paper, or vibrant metal plate surfaces. #Museum-quality #archival acid-free #reproductions that grow up to 60 inches wide with no pixelation in giclee #printing. About The ArtworkSnow Bud Solace Maybe I don’t fully revel in the fascination of sparkly snow because I’ve had to live in Minnesnowta all my life. The joys of cold have mainly escaped me. I took some pictures for audiences who might appreciate what momentarily appeared impressive. If you’d like to see piles of this stuff, head to Duluth, MN. Rumor says they got 24 inches of fresh powder this week. If the roads are open that is. In the meantime, I offer a 40 x60 glimpse of off-white buds.
